Mohsen Razzaghi (1938 –1988)
Mohsen Razzaghi (1938 –1988), a teacher by heart and by profession, was also a gifted and prolific writer.
His notable writings included “Faces of Life” (چهره های زندگی),
a fictional book based on his beliefs and life experiences (published in 1965), and a collection of heart-warming plays, to be published later. His second book “Being and Not Being" (بود
و نبود),
which was just published recently (E-Book, April 10, 2020). This book, which is a collection of poems and short stories, entails the writer’s struggle with concepts of life, death, afterlife, and questions of where we came from, what is our purpose in life,
and where we are going afterward. The author addressed these universal questions, asked throughout the human history, through the lens of religion, which is a strange and puzzling approach for a liberal thinker. In addition to those questions, the author also
reflects on social and cultural issues of his time in relation to human nature.
